Camp Wildwood Summer Day Camp was founded in Hampton County in 1992. It was created with the idea of teaching youth the importance of water safety.

Camp Wildwood is highly recognized and respected for work done in Hampton County and other surrounding communities. In 2004, Camp Wildwood was awarded “Year of the Child” by Governor Jim Hodges, SC. Since then Camp Wildwood has gained several other acknowledgments and awards in various areas.
